Bitumend® Coldmix is a permanent pothole repair kit in a bag. It is the ideal product for fixing potholes or making asphalt repairs in your driveway or carpark. 

Bitumend Coldmix is a cold asphalt that is made with special polymers so that it remains strong and flexible yet easy to use when you open the bag - excellent qualities for making long term repairs to potholes. Not all coldmix asphalts are made equal. Our experience has shown us that Bitumend Coldmix Asphalt is as good if not better than hotmix for fixing potholes in the road surface.

The unique formulation of Bitumend Coldmix enables the cold asphalt to "go off" or start to set when it is compacted in an open environment outside the bag. 

It is easy to use and requires no special equipment other than a compactor for larger holes. A couple of the big benefits of our product is that there is not a need for a bitumen emulsion product to be painted over the hole prior to installation and that once installed it can be driven over immediately. We also deliver nationwide.

Directions
Bitumend® Coldmix is very easy 3 step application process – CFC – Clean, Fill, Compact.

1. Clean the hole of any debris and remove any loose pieces around the hole (and if possible give yourself a vertical edge around the hole for the Bitumend Coldmix to butt up against - it lengthens the life of the repair)
   
2. Fill the hole with Bitumend® Coldmix (make middle slightly higher than the sides - this is called crowning - depending on the size of the repair give yourself a 5-10 crown - this counteracts the subsidence caused by compacting)
   
3. Compact (a compactor is recommended for larger holes while driving back and forth over it in a vehicle or timber posts (eg 4x4) can be used on smaller holes very effectively)     

NB/ for sealing your pothole around the edges we recommend you use Bitumend Crackfix to prevent water getting back in destabilising the sub-base.
